The next evolution of the little Mitsubishi i-MiEV, the smallest four-seat electric car sold in North America, will start to go on sale at Biggers Mitsubishi later this month.
The automaker is skipping the 2015 model and going straight to 2016, which will be identical to the 2014 model in many ways, but with several upgrades to take into consideration.
Just like the current i-MiEV, the minicar coming this month will have 66 horsepower, a single-charge range of 62 miles, and an MSRP of $22,995 before a potential $7,500 federal tax break.
The updated Mitsubishi i-MiEV will also include an optional navigation package that comes with a seven-inch touchscreen display, real-time traffic data, and 3D mapping. In addition, the automaker will offer Bluetooth hands-free phone technology, a rearview camera, and a USB port.
For such a small and efficient car, that’s actually quite a lot of technology. Let’s see if it gets more customers interested!
