Mitsubishi Sells the Last Lancer Evolution on eBay for Charity

When Mitsubishi announced that they would be discontinuing the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution line, we knew that its final days were upon us. What we didn’t know is exactly how Mitsubishi would sell the last unit of the vehicle: on eBay.

That’s right; Mitsubishi sold the very last Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution on eBay, via their auction format, ultimately selling it for $76,400. That is certainly a high price for a Lancer Evo model, but is it a high price for the last one ever? Not to one lucky collector.

The model itself was a special “Final Edition” version of the vehicle, powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine and producing up to 303 horsepower.  Though it may not be the most powerful vehicle on the road, it’s arguably one of the closest to unique.

The best part of Mitsubishi’s decision was their concept of giving the proceeds to charity, with the proceeds from the eBay auction going to Feeding America and the Second Harvest Food Bank, in respect to Hunger Action Month.

Though the last Lancer Evolution has now been sold, we know that Mitsubishi will create many more brilliant models in the years ahead. To see what Mitsubishi currently has in store, contact us or visit us anytime at Biggers Mitsubishi.

2016 Chicago Bears Season

Chicago Bears fans are some of the most dedicated fan in the NFL. No matter how rough the season may be, we never lose faith or give up on our favorite team. The 2016 Chicago Bears season is already in progress and we’ve had a few ups and down.

The first three games of the season were a bit rough. Chicago lost 21-14 to the Texans, then 29-14 at home to the Eagles, and 31-17 in Dallas to the Cowboys. However, in the fourth game of the season, our beloved Bears got their first win at home against the Lions.

Chicago brought home a 17-14 victory with two touchdown passes from quarterback Brian Hoyer. He threw for 302 yards that game. Kicker Conner Barth finished off the game with a 25-yard field goal.

The Bears then lost 23-29 against the Indianapolis Colts, though they put up a good fight.

While we don’t have the strongest team this year, the Bears have some chances to capture a few more wins. They have a good chance to win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, San Francisco 49ers, and the Washington Redskins.

Here at Biggers Mitsubishi, we love the Chicago Bears and can’t wait to see how the rest of the season goes. Which game are you looking forward to the most this season?
