NHTSA Awards a Four Star Mitsubishi Lancer Safety Rating for 2017 Model

The NHTSA gave the Mitsubishi Lancer Saftey Rating a thumbs up.
Now coming with a standard rearview camera, the 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer has reached a new level.

The 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer has earned a four star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), making it one of the safest new sedans on the road, adding to a long list of reasons why the new Lancer is an excellent option for any driver.

The NHTSA gave the new Lancer four stars in the front, side, and rollover tests, which simulate the cars response in the event of a collision. With these three tests, the NHTSA can accurately predict how a driver or passenger would fare if such an event would occur.

The new Mitsubishi Lancer comes standard with an impressive list of safety features, including seven airbags, a driver-side knee airbag, antilock brakes, electronic stability control, and traction control. And best of all, the model now comes standard with a rearview camera for all trim levels.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has not rated the new Mitsubishi Lancer yet, but it’s safe to assume that their Mitsubishi Lancer safety rating will be similar to that of the NHTSA.

While we eagerly await the 2017 Lancer to arrive here at Biggers Mitsubishi, head over to our website and to learn more about the safety features on the current 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer? Contact us or visit us anytime at Biggers Mitsubishi to take one out on a test drive.
